About the Series

Warriors of DZI is a partial retelling of an old roleplay that I began writing for in November 2006. It was originally based around a Star Wars model but eventually became more fantasy as we progressed in it. A mix of Star Wars, Fable, Zelda, Final Fantasy, Elder Scrolls and many other things went into making these characters back then. Since the time that it came to a stop; I had always wanted to revisit it and make adjustments. Take out many things that just weren't working and do some better power and age scaling to make it better. With permission from one of my closest friends, I have begun writing for our characters in a new way and in a manner we both agree with. Warriors of DZI is that story and it allows me to embrace more of the shared feelings and emotions that come with writing and the bond their characters had as best friends, as well as student and mentor.

Nick, if you're reading this: love you brother! I appreciate your willingness to allow me to use your characters without hesitation and your support means a lot to me. Thanks for always being there when I need you.

About the Author

Bud Gaines is a relatively new author who started his writing journey in November of 2006 with some close friends. He has created many different roleplays based around just hanging out with his friends. Final Dungeon was a playful mix of fantasy and Dragonball Z. Last Arena was a joint effort, with another best friend, but became his passion as time went on being the main writer of it. Dream/Nightmare was a joint effort between his than girlfriend and himself but eventually came to a stop when everyone was too busy. There are many more that follow around that time and some have failed but that never stopped him from pursuing his stories. In that time he took full control of the stories in Last Arena and rebranded it Aren Chronicles than began a massive rewriting of it up to his standards with permission from everyone involved. Two books have been published in that series: Prelude to Vortex of Souls and Vortex of Souls part one. There are more books to come under that name and other series such as Spellbound and Allfather's Bastion. He also enjoys photography and videos as well as gaming and streaming.
